Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 8, 2026
OlympGrid is a project management and collaboration tool. This Privacy Policy describes how OlympGrid processes your personal data and explains the choices available to you regarding your information.
If you have any questions or concerns about how OlympGrid processes your information, or if you would like to exercise any of your privacy rights, you can contact us at legal@olympgrid.app.
1. Who We Are
OlympGrid is operated by Christian Silva Bytton (“OlympGrid,” “we,” “our,” “us”), based at 31 allée Henri Matisse, 77600 Bussy-Saint-Georges, France.
For the purposes of applicable data protection law, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), OlympGrid is the data controller of the personal data described in this Policy. We do not have a separate organization/administrator tier — every OlympGrid account belongs to an individual user, and OlympGrid is always the controller of the data associated with that account.
OlympGrid does not have a formal Data Protection Officer. For any privacy-related questions, requests, or concerns, please contact us directly at legal@olympgrid.app.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide to Us
When you create an OlympGrid account, we collect:
- Your name and email address;
- Your password, handled securely through Firebase Authentication;
- A profile avatar, if you choose to add one.
When you use OlympGrid to create and manage projects, we collect the content you submit, such as project names, tasks, comments, files, and other materials you choose to add (“User Content”).
2.2 Payment Information
If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed directly by Stripe. OlympGrid does not collect or store your full payment card details — these are handled entirely by Stripe in accordance with Stripe’s own privacy policy and security standards.
2.3 Information Collected Automatically
OlympGrid uses Firebase Authentication, which relies on session identifiers to keep you logged in. We also plan to use Firebase Analytics and Google Analytics to understand how OlympGrid is used. These tools may automatically collect information such as device type, operating system, app interactions, usage patterns, session duration, and similar technical or usage data. We do not currently use advertising cookies or third-party tracking for marketing purposes.
2.4 Where This Information Is Stored
All information described above — account data, User Content, and authentication data — is stored using Google Firebase (Authentication and Database services). OlympGrid does not operate separate servers or databases outside of Firebase and Stripe.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account, and authenticate you when you log in;
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service;
- Enable collaboration features, such as sharing projects with other users;
- Process payments for paid plans, via Stripe;
- Communicate with you about your account, including important notices and security alerts;
- Send you marketing communications, such as newsletters and product updates, where you have not opted out (see Section 8);
- Understand how OlympGrid is used, through Firebase Analytics and Google Analytics, in order to improve the Service;
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents; and
- Comply with our legal obligations.
4. How We Share Your Information
4.1 With Other Users You Collaborate With
When you invite another user to collaborate on a project, that collaborator will be able to view the project’s User Content, and will be able to see your name, avatar, and email address. Likewise, you will be able to see the same information about other collaborators on a shared project. This visibility is a core part of how collaboration works on OlympGrid.
4.2 Service Providers
We share information with third-party service providers who process it on our behalf in order to operate OlympGrid, specifically:
- Google Firebase, for authentication, database storage, and analytics; and
- Stripe, for payment processing.
These providers are only permitted to use your information as necessary to provide their services to us, in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable data protection agreements.
4.3 Legal Obligations and Business Transfers
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect the rights or safety of OlympGrid or others, or investigate potential violations of our Terms of Service. If OlympGrid is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy or a successor policy.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your information with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.
5. International Data Transfers
Because OlympGrid relies on Firebase and Stripe, both of which are provided by companies based in the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries outside of the European Economic Area (EEA). Where this occurs, Firebase and Stripe rely on appropriate safeguards recognized under GDPR, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent data transfer mechanisms, to protect your information.
6. Data Retention
We will retain your information for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, to make the Service available to you, or as instructed by you, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure, or access. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Cookies, Sessions, and Marketing Communications
8.1 Sessions and Analytics
Firebase Authentication uses session identifiers to keep you logged in to OlympGrid. If enabled, Firebase Analytics and Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies on our website and app to collect usage information as described in Section 2.3.
8.2 Marketing Communications
If you provide your email address, we may send you newsletters, product updates, and marketing communications, in accordance with applicable law. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in such emails, or by contacting us at legal@olympgrid.app. You may not opt out of transactional or account-related communications, such as security alerts or billing notices, which are necessary for the operation of the Service.
9. Children's Privacy
OlympGrid is not directed to, and may not be used by, individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete that information.
10. Your Privacy Rights
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar data protection laws, you have the following rights regarding your personal data, subject to applicable legal exceptions:
- Right of access — to obtain confirmation of, and access to, the personal data we hold about you;
- Right to rectification — to have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
- Right to erasure — to request deletion of your personal data;
- Right to restrict processing — to request that we limit how we use your data in certain circumstances;
- Right to data portability — to receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, and to transfer it to another provider;
- Right to object — to object to our processing of your data, including for marketing purposes; and
- Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on your consent, at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
Because your data is stored through Firebase, OlympGrid, as the data controller, is responsible for fulfilling these requests on your behalf using our administrative access to Firebase. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at legal@olympgrid.app. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. In France, this is the Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL).
11. Legal Bases for Processing
Where GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases to process your personal data:
- Performance of a contract — to provide the Service to you in accordance with our Terms of Service;
- Legitimate interests — to operate, secure, and improve OlympGrid, and to prevent fraud and abuse;
- Consent — for marketing communications, and for the use of analytics tools where required by law; and
- Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws, such as tax or accounting requirements.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our features, or applicable law. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice, such as by emailing the address associated with your account or posting a notice within the Service. Your continued use of OlympGrid after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
